Notes: An archaeological survey was conducted in an area submerged in Lake Markermeer and bordered on the east side by a dike. Preliminary research has shown that the medieval settlement of Etersheim was located at this site, including a church and a cemetery. This area is known as the “Sunken Village of Etersheim.” The well-known 12th-century sarcophagus from Etersheim was previously found in this area. The Bartmann jug was found by members of the National Working Group on Underwater Archaeology (LWAOW).
