Notes: Archaeological research at the Fruittuinen site in Enkhuizen has uncovered remains of the Nieuwe Haven (New Harbour), which was constructed there around 1600. On the north side of the site, along the Kuipersdijk, remains of the harbour revetment have been found across the entire width of the construction pit. This curves to the southwest on the west side, where, according to historical maps, the passage to the Oude Buyshaven harbour to the west was located.
