Notes: The Bartmann jug was discovered during an archaeological excavation amongst the waste in the cesspit of a late medieval house on Blijenhoek in the centre of Gorinchem in 1996.

Feature description: Bartmann Jug with a narrow, constricted neck; S2-jug-3; made of stoneware with salt glaze and iron engobe; one vertical loop handle; the body is spherical; the foot is moulded; the mask on the neck is depicted realistically; the beard and cheeks are rendered in detail; tendrils are depicted on the body of the jug, with leaves on both sides and acorns at the ends. Produced in Cologne.
