Notes: In 1980, a crane operator discovered a shipwreck while digging a canal in Lelystad. The ship was 16.35 metres long, 5.5 metres wide and had a moulded depth of 2.41 metres. The discovery of a number of coins dated 1614-1619 indicates that the ship sank between 1620 and 1630. A large oak barrel filled with tin utensils was found in the hold. Another remarkable find was a large wooden chest filled with straw and eggs. In addition, a number of scythes and accessories were found, presumably belonging to seasonal workers who were passengers on board.
