Notes: The shipwreck was discovered in the Wadden Sea in 1985. The visible wreckage measures 12.8 by 6.2 metres, with the highest parts lying at a depth of 11.0 metres below sea level. The original dimensions are estimated at 40 metres by 6.5 metres. Among the finds are a sword hilt, a small cannon measuring 1.35 metres, thousands of knives with ebony handles and iron blades found in a wooden barrel, and a large number of Gouda tobacco pipes marked with a crowned 16. These tobacco pipes gave the wreck its name, “Pijpenwrak” (Pipe Wreck). The original ship dates from the second half of the 18th century.
