Notes: In 2004, an excavation was carried out prior to the demolition and reconstruction of retirement homes on ‘De Baan’ in Enkhuizen. The site had traditionally been known by this name, as part of Enkhuizen's rope walks were located there. According to dendrological research of the wooden remains, the oldest rope walks were constructed between 1598 and 1602. Ditches were also found on the site, which had been filled in with large quantities of urban waste.
