Notes: On the border between Utrecht and the county of Holland, Count Floris V of Holland had a castle built. Over the centuries, it was demolished, rebuilt, used as barracks, a prison and an arsenal. It was about to be completely demolished, but due to public opposition, it was decided to restore the castle entirely. It is now a museum.
